"It was 1969 when Senator Kennedy, recognizing the success of Medicare for senior citizens, first called for universal health care for all Americans. "We must begin to move now to establish a comprehensive national health insurance program, capable of bringing the same amount and high quality of health care to every man, woman, and child in the United States," Kennedy said at Boston University Medical Center on December 16, 1969.
Senator Kennedy has spent his public life fighting for comprehensive health care for all Americans. Over the decades, tens of millions have benefited from his sustained efforts."
MY COMMENT: Unless I am mistaken TODAY OCTOBER 1ST 2013 Will live as a day in history where the dream of Ted Kennedy was FINALLY REALIZED!!! It took over 40 YEARS FOR THAT DREAM TO BE REALIZED!!! WHAT IS AMAZING IS THAT IT TOOK A BLACK AMERICAN PRESIDENT TO FINALLY GET IT DONE!!!!!
No matter how hard they tried, the whites couldn't do it!!
Whoah! That's something alright!!
The Republicans were so angry about it
they made certain the American government was shut down!!!!
I usually don't give a damn about the news,
but today...I have made an exception
for there should be certain days when I do make an exception and watch the news
and TODAY is American history in the making!
According to what I have studied
the Democrats have been fighting a hell of a long time
for what American President Obama accomplished today
it is indeed a day that will be remembering in history
for American President Obama
and a day of infamy for the rich white American Republicans
Considering the next post I'd say it's time for Star Truck VO 1
Doing the voice over for Star Truck was quite an experience with the Xtranormal company. The first version was done with the stock program voices and did it ever sound stiff!!
Man, what a challenge for my voice to do all those voices. Sounding like a street-walking black ho was the worst. I guess it should hurt me the most, right? Serves me right for making Star Trek Uhura talk like that.
Since the Star Trek bridge was interracial I thought I would go all out and have silly fun with the concept.
This is only for the strong who can take it
If you go to church regularly do yourself a favor and don't watch this video, okay?
Hey, you were warned, right?
This video is dedicated to how disappointed I was to find that one of the original Enterprise bridge-crew is gay. Which one? Watch the video and take a wild guess
Gratitude and appreciation opens the most wonderful doors of blessings the Universe has to offer. Those who are not grateful and appreciative end up scraping the bottom of the barrel of life overwhelmed with a burden of things to complain about. The more they complain the more they attract and manifest more reasons to complain. It's a vicious cycle that many are hopelessly stuck in and will probably never escape within their miserable lifetimes.
Oh well....
It took me a long while to finally realize that everyone has the right to ruin their lives if they so choose and it's none of my business if they choose to do so.
It took a hell of a lot of suffering before I learned that lesson and began to understand that a great portion of peace of mind comes from minding one's own business whenever possible.
You can be a great Buddha who has mastered yourself, but if you are then put in charge of a monastery and are responsible for monks who have not mastered themselves chances are your peace of mind will be continually sabotaged. It's rather impossible for the "enlightened" leader of a monastery to mind his own business when his monks get into trouble because they are not so very "enlightened". What the monks of the Buddha did was indeed the Buddha's business whether he liked it or not!
I remember reading a story of how one of The Buddha's monks was a homosexual and was seducing other monks. Oh man! Was the Buddha ever pissed off when he found out! Gave his "enlightened" peace of mind a real kick in the nuts alright!
born in Olot, Gerona, Spain, composed during the Classical period
Antonio Francisco Javier Jose Soler was an eighteenth century Catalan composer, priest, monk, student, teacher, mathematician, inventor, and organist. His life was spent serving both the Catholic Church and music. He was a prolific composer with over 400 compositions credited to him by the time of his death at age 54. Soler spent most of his life at monasteries, particularly El Escorial, the magnificent royal palace, chapel, and monastery built by King Philip II outside of Madrid two centuries earlier.
Soler apparently came from a musical family. His brother, Mateu, played bassoon in the monastery of Las Descalzas Reales and then in the court of Carlos III, and finally in the Capilla Real. His musical training began at a very early age. In 1736, he became a student at the Benedictine monastery choir school at Montserrat where he learned organ and composition. Between 1752 and 1757, while in his early twenties, Soler studied with Domenico Scarlatti, the Italian composer who served the Spanish court of Ferdinand VI and Maria Barbara.
Prior to going to El Escorial, where he spent the rest of his life, Soler was the maestro de capilla at Lerida and was ordained subdeacon in 1752. Later that same year, he joined the Hieronymite order of monks at El Escorial monastery and professed to the order in 1753.
Soler performed many duties at El Escorial. In 1757, he became maestro de capilla. In addition, he performed as first organist, wrote much of the church music, and taught music. Perhaps his most prestigious student was the son of Carlos III, Don Gabriel de Bourbon. Soler taught the young Don Gabriel keyboard and many of the Soler's harpsichord sonatas were written for him.
It is difficult for most to grasp Soler's level of productivity, particularly in light of his many other duties and interests. His musical compositions included over 120 sonatas for harpsichord, six quintets for organ and strings, six double organ concertos, 10 masses, five requiems, 132 villancicos, and many other works. His most famous was a sonata for harpsichord entitled Fandango.
Soler also wrote a treatise on harmony, Llave de la Modulación (1762) whose concepts remain valid today. This treatise, however, caused considerable controversy and rebuke by some of his peers. These criticisms caused Soler such dismay that in 1765, he responded with a written retort, Satisfacción a los reparos precisos, which spanned 67 pages and was supported by such noted authorities as Morales, Palestrina, and Scarlatti. The controversy did not end until a final defense was provided in Jose Vila's Respuestra y dictamen in 1766.
He developed another treatise in 1771 that demonstrated his interest and skill in mathematics. This book was on Castilian and Catalan currency exchange and was published in honor of Carlos III. Soler was a man of other talents in addition to those mentioned. He invented a tuning box that was used to demonstrate differences between tones and semitones to Don Gabriel. He was also expert in organ design and construction. In 1776, he developed the specifications for an organ for the Malaga Cathedral. ~ Bruce Lundgren, Rovi
MY COMMENT:
The thing that inspires me most about Antonio Soler are the other things, besides music, that he did. I mean, the guy was a veritable Leonardo Da Vinci, for crying out loud! I'm surprised I've never heard of him before
born in Weimar, Germany, composed during the Classical period
The second surviving son of J.S. Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel was the most innovative and idiosyncratic member of an extremely talented musical family. His music, unlike that of his father or that of the master he influenced, Haydn, did not define an era so much as reveal a deeply personal response to the musical conventions of his time.
C.P.E. Bach could play his father's technically demanding keyboard pieces at sight by the time he was seven. Also an exceptional student in areas other than music, he enrolled at the University of Leipzig in 1731 to study law, then transferred to the University of Frankfurt an der Oder. He graduated in 1734, but remained in that backwater town giving keyboard lessons, involving himself in public concerts, and learning the composer's craft.
By 1740 Bach was in Berlin as harpsichordist to Frederick the Great of Prussia. Here he was first exposed to Italian opera seria, and its dramatic style infiltrated his instrumental music. Little of this was heard at court, where Bach accompanied the flutist-king in one reactionary concerto after another by Quantz. He made several attempts to find a new position, but the stress of the king's disfavor was partially relieved in 1756, when Frederick became distracted by the Seven Years' War and was frequently away from the court. Bach found a select audience for his remarkable and experimental series of keyboard works such as the so-called "Prussian" and "Württemberg" sonatas (composed in the early 1740s) and the Sonatas with Varied Repeats (1760).
Bach finally got himself released from Frederick's service in 1768 in order to succeed Telemann as cantor at the Johanneum in Hamburg, also serving as music director for the city's five major churches; he held this post until his death.
Stylistically distant from his father's rigorous polyphony, C.P.E. Bach was something of a proto-Romantic; he was the master of Empfindsamkeit, or "intimate expressiveness." The dark, dramatic, improvisation-like passages that appear in some of Mozart's and Haydn's works are due in part to his influence; his music in time became known all over Europe. His impulsive works for solo keyboard, which lurch into unexpected keys, change tempo and dynamics abruptly, and fly along with wide-ranging themes, are especially compelling. One account of Bach's after-dinner improvisations described the sweaty, glazed-eyed musician as "possessed," an adjective that would be applied to equally intense and idiosyncratic musicians in the Romantic age. Many of his symphonies are as audacious as his keyboard pieces.
In the area of chamber music, Bach pulled the keyboard out of its subsidiary Baroque role and made it a full partner with, or even leader of, the other instruments. Yet here he fashioned the music to the public's conservative expectations, as he did with his church music. He composed prolifically in many genres, and much of his work awaits public rediscovery.
Bach also produced an important account of performance practice in the second half of the eighteenth century, translated into English as Essay on the True Art of Playing Keyboard Instruments. ~ James Reel, Rovi MY COMMENT:
No myths about this guy selling his soul
It's about time, right?
Below this post I talk about the legendary Delta Blues guitarist Robert Johnson and the myth that he became known as King of the Delta Blues after, allegedly, selling his soul to the Devil at a crossroads in Clarksdale Mississippi.
Well, that is an interesting myth. Today I suddenly came across videos stating that John Lennon sold his soul and that is why The Beatles became so miraculously famous.
The concept hit me like a sudden flash. Especially as I watched a number of other videos about many artists who have apparently sold their souls to the Devil for fame and fortune
I thought about how pathetic it is that one cannot hope to accomplish anything truly great in the world unless one sells his or her soul to the devil. What? If you go to God the best you can hope for is producing mediocre crap? I mean, how pathetic an insult is it that a person has to sell his or her soul to be really, really successful in life?
It makes me wonder. From studies I have done it seems that Satan DESPERATELY wants control over this world and its inhabitants. I mean Satan REALLY, REALLY WANTS THIS!!!!
In contrast, I find it impossible to imagine that Jesus cares much about this world. For being killed for the sins of the world, Jesus probably lives in outrageous luxury. A luxury beyond all conceivable human concepts of riches and luxury. The sum of the near-death experiences I have read about give testimony to this. You never get the feeling that Jesus wants more luxury than He has.
As for Jesus' Father. Well...He, apparently, happens to own billions upon billions of galaxies and can create more just by thinking of them. So what does he care about this tiny planet? From the looks of events in the world God doesn't seem to care much at all.
On the one hand we have Satan who DESPERATELY wants this planet. On the other we have God and Jesus who, most probably, don't really care much one way or the other if Satan eventually gets this planet. I mean, hasn't Satan suffered enough? How much torture does it take before God FINALLY get's tired of torturing His Creation?
Speculation, speculation, speculation, but...well...it seems to me fallen Angel Lucifer has some VERY LEGITIMATE GRIPES and Jesus is being rewarded more than enough.
I don't know
What I do know is that I can't condone torture
((( NOT EVEN IF GOD IS DOING THE TORTURING!!! )))
That's right, God! I say you torturing your creation is...
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!
What? You want me to lie to you?
Ah. what the hell
I just may be writing my doom here
Better stop while I'm behind
And 1965 ended with The Beatles
as the biggest band the world had ever seen
Then John essentially said that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus
and all their fame began to turn against them
Mobs who love you can easily turn into
mobs who hate you
Fame is not as worth having
as the media would make you believe
So, if John had made a pact with the Devil
would he be the only one of the Beatles
forced to say such a thing
whether he wanted to or not?
The great unsolved mystery!
Fame sucks!
'Jesus loves you, John!
Jesus died for you, because we say so
and if you don't believe it we are going to kill you!'
Suddenly I've had a burst of insight from the Spirit of Intent, or Mother Nature, or the Spirit of Mother Earth, or countless names throughout the cosmos
Anyhow...
I've been shown that I should be extremely careful who I associate with in my world because if I continually associate with those who's intent is to bring me down they will relentlessly work towards sabotaging my success in life
Okay, that's logical and any fool should be able to see the logical value of such actions, right?
Well...
I just realized the EXACT SAME THING HOLDS TRUE for those with whom I associate with on the Internet! I should NOT spend significant time posting in skeptic forums where all they want to do is ridicule me and bring me down.
AND FOR THE VERY SAME REASON AS IN MY PHYSICAL WORLD!!
Frankly, I'm rather shocked I did not see this before. It should have been as plain as plain can be and yet, I was rather blind
Lesson:
DON'T REGULARLY
ASSOCIATE WITH YOUR ENEMIES
WHO WANT TO DESTROY YOUR SUCCESS IN LIFE
UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO
NOT IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORLD
((( AND NOT ON THE INTERNET )))
Remember that when the great Assyrian king Ashurbanipal
My first created experimental video using the trial version of Crazytalk Animator Pro was for a bunch of skeptics in a skeptics forum who always have something bad to say about me.
The tutorials for Crazytalk Animator Pro are a pain in that different versions of their animation programs have different tools in different places and for tech support you have to send them a support message and they will get back to you in a couple of days. It took me a while to realize that I should ONLY watch tutorials for Crazytalk Animator Pro and none for their similar programs, duh. Since tech support was the same as it was with the Xtranormal animation program it's not like this is anything new in the way of tech support
Still, this seems to be exactly the type of program I need in order to develop my public speaking; although...I won't get into the headaches I have had with it so far, but I got a lot more done through the headaches than I did with the headaches I got trying to use the Poser Pro 2012 animation program. That much is for certain! I sent that thing back to Amazon.com and GOOD RIDDANCE!!!
The trial version of CrazyTalk Animator Pro creates exported videos with their logo all over the friggin place.
For many years I've received messages from Mother Nature, in deep trance states, that She DEMANDS human sacrifice from the human race as payment for all the good they receive from the planet.
THIS IS WHAT WARS ARE REALLY ALL ABOUT!!
Suddenly, I am receiving messages that the MesoAmerican cultures were given a merciful alternative to having their towns ransacked, burned, their women raped and children slaughtered. It was the deliberate human sacrifices that the MesoAmerican cultures conducted.
Their prisoners were taken from the field of battle and sacrificed in order to pacify Mother Nature, with whatever name they gave Her, so that their lives would be blessed.
AND BLESSED THEY WERE
They were given many advanced revelations about living that made MesoAmerican life a wondrous marvel of the world. Unfortunately, all their successes went to their 'heads' and they became too self-confident and brutal. So, the human sacrifice experiment had to be terminated; which was quite a shame for Mother Nature.
Now, Americans think nothing of fire napalming an entire forest just to kill a few of the enemy. They blow Nature to bits which, of course, makes Mother Nature extremely angry. Even as I write this Mother Nature is slowly breaking free from the invisible chains that have held Her bondage. As the weather goes insane and people are motivated to kill each other in the streets consider what I have written here for supposedly IT IS FACT!!!
MOTHER NATURE HAS DECLARED WAR AGAINST THE HUMAN RACE!!
Those who feel human sacrifice is bad and bombing people's cities is much more "righteous" are quite simply insane!
Still, from what I hear, Mother Nature (((DEMANDS))) a depopulation of this planet of about 90% of all humans. One way or another Mother Nature will indeed get what She wants!! I only hope I can continue to pacify Her Wrath at least...until I am dead. If I am unsuccessful you will see death and destruction on a Biblical scale within my lifetime, folks!
